Lauren Davies graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with both an Honours degree and a Masters degree in Law. She worked as a corporate solicitor in London before following her dream to become a writer. Lauren has published three novels with Time Warner paperbacks under the name Lauren McCrossan.
Her first bestselling novel Serve Cool reached the top ten debut novels of the year in 2001. Her second novel Angel On Air was long-listed for the Romantic Novelists Association romantic comedy of the year in 2003. Lauren’s books are translated into Russian, Polish and Croatian and are sold worldwide.
Lauren is also an authority on surfing and was the first female columnist in a British surf magazine. Her freelance surfing journalism has been published throughout Europe and she has written for the Irish Times and the Guardian newspapers.
Waveriders, on which she collaborated with Joel Conroy, is Lauren’s first documentary script treatment. The film won the Dublin Film Festival Audience Award 2008. Lauren has just completed her fourth novel, Swell.
