Very excited about the general release of the film. Missed it at the film festivals in Dublin and Galway so relieved to be getting to see it. Its been buillding in Ireland for a while, Thicker Than Water, Silver Surfari, Sea Fever… now I guess the secret is out proper! Best of luck with the film. Tickets to Sligo showing would be much appreciated. Doors
Looking forward to seeing this. Would love tickets to the Sligo preview. Check out this photo at magicseaweed.
Delighted to see the film finally getting a release over a year after it made such a splash at the DIFF. Well done to the lads for getting the funding together and producing a quality flick, looking forward to checking it out at the Lighthouse (or at home in Sligo if there’s a half decent swell running). Cheers, Lorcan.
PS. I’d just like to take this opportunity to remind people that Mullaghmore is in Sligo (not Donegal)!!!
Really looking forward to the film release. I’ve been following the news and reports for the past year and now its finally here. Its great that an Irish film is showcasing Ireland in such a great light and comes as a timely boost for everyone, even if it means bigger crowds in the water, but sure we’ve lots of waves for everyone. Looking forward to being invited to The Lighthouse
Great to see world class Irish surfers in action. Hope to see the preview in Galway.

Clip looks great. Read about this in the paper yesterday. Great to see the Irish taking on the waves of the world and the world taking on the waves of the Irish. Would love a ticket to the Dublin preview. All the best with it anyways.
Looks stunning, really looking forward to the visit to Galway, a Ticket would be much appreciated!!
Lads this looks class. Will defo catch it in Dublin.
Take it easy,
John
Several surf buddies saw the movie last year in Dublin at the film festival and still rave about it. Gutted that I missed it last year but would love to join you for the opener in Dublin this time round. By all accounts the movie is up there with the old classics such as Endless Summer & Silver Surfari! Being surfing for 6 yrs now, never looked back. Best of luck with the movie, hope to see you there @ Lighthouse. Cheers
Really looking forward to the film lads after missing it at the DIFF, Ive read/heard great things. Would love to go to the Dublin preview.
This guys surf photography is great

Best of luck with it, Sean
I haven’t seen Waveriders but from what I’ve heard from friends who were at the Premiere last year and friends who worked with Joel and Richie on it it deserves all the hype it is getting and more. I promise to wear boardies & tongs or a 3/2 to the Dublin screening if I win tickets and yes you can hold me to that.
In the meantime enjoy the work of one of the best if not the best surf photographer on this island - Mickey Smith.

Cool.
Well i reacon the 2nd best thing to surfing is watching it, and as im a Cork surfer i get plenty of time to watch surf movies, and to see one on the big screen would make my day. Especially when there surfing huge waves like Aileens and Mullaghmore.
So please please please can i get tickets.
Sound
love to be at the preview at the lighthouse!!!
Love the preview lads and can’t wait to see the whole thing on the big screen. Favourite surf scene on video would have to be the big waves on the Irish section of the Thicker than Water movie. Possibly a little bit bias here.
Waveriders promises to be a great advertisement for surfing in Ireland, and a great inspiration for Irish surfers. Can’t wait to see it on the big screen
Always a pleasure to watch such amazing images of Irish waves. The sexiest in the world even in a 5mm, it definately has something special … wild and authentic! a pure moment of freedom. Congrats for that and best of luck! Will defo attend Dublin projection… hopefully for the preview!
forgot to say…..tickets for the dublin night would be awesome!!if you would like the main dublin college surf clubs to attend just give me an email.meg

I’d love sum of them tickets please. I am a girl who has tried surfin in many countries but still haven’t mastered it yet.. so perhaps the movie could give me the extra edge I need to rip up some barrels and hang a few tubes….dude! (I’m guessing you’re seeing right through my, not very convincing, surfery lingo)but god loves a tryer right? yours,Ellie x

I was surfing the web when i discovered that an irish movie called waveriders was to be out in a years time. Im so happy that the time has finally come. For one year now i have had dreams of such waves off the west coast. i need to see this movie on its earliest release to give my mind peace. please pick me for the lighthouse cinema dublin.

The film looks fabulous, lots of big wave surfing from my home county - Clare. I would love some tickets for the lighthouse. In the interim, have a look at some surfing of Aileen’s at the Cliffs of Moher:

I have heard so much about this film and would really appreciate if there were any tickets for the Cork show to send them my way. It’s great to highlight this great love of the water and it’s pleasures so that more people may take up the interest and in the long run experience simple pleasures for free, not everything has to be about money!
I’d love sum of them tickets please. I am a girl who has tried surfin in many countries but still haven’t mastered it yet.. so perhaps the movie could give me the extra edge I need to rip up some barrels and hang a few tubes….dude! (Galway or Dublin..I’m easy)
any room for a Windsurfer for the preview in Galway
as there is no other swell in this county -had to migrate from surfing in sligo to the power of the wind in galway
Delighted you did well in Hollywood
Derek
Being a Sligo local lad I can’t wait to see Waveriders when it hits the cinemas in ireland. Looks like brilliant footage of the lads in Clare Sligo and Donegal. I know Richie from surfing up here at the peak and they are great lads, even though Richie is a Finn Harps supporter he knows Sligo Rovers rule. Met the Malloy brothers with Richie in Easkey about 10 years ago, really great surfers and funny boys. Heard on the radio the boys are on the tubridy show tonight, go on boys. Would love love love tickets for the Sligo screening or Bundoran screenings. Gud Luk to waveriders this week, John
I’d love tickets for the Sligo advance screening
Cold water paradise says it all…can’t wait
